to join our Estate team.

Head Gardener Overview

We are looking for an experienced Head Gardener to support the Estate Manager in the smooth running of our Estate department. Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is set in 1065 acres which includes pasture, woodland, lakes and historic gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. Reporting into the Estates Manager, the Head Gardener will be leading and coaching a team of gardeners in the maintenance, restoration and development of gardens, woodland and outlying buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within an Estate/Gardening environment.

Attributes/Experience

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate a wealth of garden maintenance and horticulture experience.
• Candidates have a proven knowledge of project management
• Candidates will be qualified to a minimum of RHS Level 2 or equivalent
• Excellent Leadership/supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Friendly, confident, professional, proactive.
