Events vacancy not to be missed! Ashdown Park Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a professional and effective Events Co-ordinator to join our team on a Maternity Cover contract. You will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

 

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. There will be occasional late starts/finishes and you will need to work approximately 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a day off in the week).

 

Please note this is a maternity cover role starting in April for up to one year.

 

The Events Co-ordinator role:

 

We are looking for an experienced Events Co-ordinator with a welcoming personality to make Ashdown Park Hotel an experience to remember. At Ashdown Park we host over 60 weddings each year, as well as hundreds of meetings, conferences and private dining bookings from 2 to 200 people. We have 106 bedrooms, 15 function rooms and a converted Chapel. Our Events Co-ordinators deal with all sales enquiries working with various hotel departments and preferred suppliers - coordinating lighting, AV, entertainment and team building. The Events Co-ordinator's responsibilities include meeting clients and producing quotations, contracts, invoices and function details.

The Events Co-ordinator will:

 

  • Have excellent customer service and outstanding communication skills.
  • Be able to take a pro-active approach to problem solving and challenges and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Be professionally presented, reflecting the Company's corporate image.
  • Have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and be confident in using Microsoft Office.
  • Be passionate, energetic and confident, with exceptional people skills.
  • Have the ability to manage people's expectations.
  • Have the ability to establish a rapport and deliver a high standard of service with a genuine and approachable manner.
  • Be confident in planning and delivering Hotel show rounds.
  • Ideally have Knowledge of Opera but this is not essential as full training will be given.

As this is a maternity cover role we are looking for someone experienced with the ability to make an immediate impact.
