Internationally acclaimed Taiwanese Brand Din Tai Fung will be opening its inaugural restaurant in the UK in 2018 and is looking for talented individuals to pioneer this initiative.

Have a passion for culinary arts? As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will join a dedicated team of F&B professionals in the Dim Sum Kitchen, serving up world famous Taiwanese signatures.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the management of the kitchen assisting the Sous Chefs and Head Chef
  • Assist in shift scheduling
  • Demonstrate great dumpling folding techniques and skills
  • Check availability and ensure quantity of ingredients in outlet
  • Order food items from Central Kitchen
  • Ensure food items are consistently prepared according to company’s standards of quality and operations
  • Conduct training for colleagues to maintain consistent highest possible of product quality and conduct in a first-class manner
  • Responsible for food sales and wastage
  • Enforce hygiene regulations and upkeep kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Ensure quality in Dim Sum preparation

 

 

Educational Qualification/ Experience / Skills and Competencies Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar role
  • One of the following is preferred, City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery,
  • BTEC HND in professional cookery, or a foundation degree in culinary arts.
  • Health and safety and food hygiene certificates
  • Experience in dumpling making preferred
