We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager based in Leeds, Manchester or Liverpool to join the City District family, working in either Fazenda Leeds, Fazenda Liverpool or Fazenda Manchester for approx 4-6 months before relocating to take the helm at our newest restaurant opening in Birmingham in October 2018.

This is a great opportunity for either a General Manger looking for a new role in a high-quality company or an ambitious and talented Deputy General Manager looking for a chance to step up in a company with excellent training and personal development coaching as well as a host of other benefits.

City District is the company behind the award-winning brands Fazenda and Picanha by Fazenda. We are a group of Brazillian style rodizio restaurants: stylish, upmarket restaurants with a focus on providing the best quality food, drinks and service, making every guest's experience special.

Fazenda first opened its doors in Leeds in 2010 and within only 8 years has built an excellent reputation across 5 very successful restaurant sites and growing. Our success has been based on a combination of novel concept, high quality and management efforts to create an amazing environment both for customers to dine in but also for staff to enjoy working in.

The Role

City District is now looking for an experienced, energetic General Manager to train in the Leeds, Liverpool or Manchester site before leading the opening team in the new Birmingham restaurant in October. The GM will be expected to run the restaurant effectively and profitably while creating and maintaining an excellent reputation and ethos.

The right person will be able to confidently and effectively coordinate all activities and departments. They will take responsibility for developing and continually raising the business’ performance and quality standards as well as ensuring the health and safety of the restaurant, its employees, guests and visitors.

Combining strategic planning and day-to-day management activities, they will be both business-like and creative, interacting positively with senior managers and directors and translating plans and policies down to staff in an effective manner.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A varied background of experience working in each of the key areas of a restaurant
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a high quality restaurant
• An understanding of the importance of stock control and wage budgets while ensuring the customer experience is never compromised
• Full P&L accountability alongside budgeting and forecasting
• Strong business acumen, driving the business to achieve its full potential
• Great personality, leadership, energy and charisma to inspire, lead and develop the team
• Confidence and experience in training a large number of staff
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• A pro-active management style and natural leadership skills
• Confidence and adaptability in the way they give and receive instructions to the team and from senior management
• A love for the buzz of the restaurant floor
• Someone able to take ownership and responsibility for the whole operation and all the little things that make it up
• Experience in new openings (desirable though not essential)
