JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager – Growth Markets


DEPARTMENT: Fan Engagement - Marketing


REPORTING TO: Head of Global Fan Engagement


JOB FUNCTION: The purpose of this role is to lead the international marketing strategy for the club, with a focus on driving greater brand awareness, engagement and audience growth.




LOCATION: Main Location: Stamford Bridge - Other Location: Cobham + Kingsmeadow CONTRACT: Permanent – 35 hours a week




PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities): 




Deliver the growth strategy for the Club across key markets including the US & India, with a focus on brand positioning, awareness, and digital growth through web/app/social platforms. Own local market content strategy and publishing plans, ensuring that all content is on brand and relevant for local fans and wider audiences. Own, manage, and develop our key market marketing initiatives such as the US Podcast, US Twitter channel, content franchises in India, and hero partnerships.  Manage multiple local market agency relationships to maximise output, running weekly status calls and facilitating day-to-day work streams.  Collaborate with the Fan Experience Team to activate in market, supporting on local events and Supporters Club activities.  Pro-actively seek out partnerships that will surprise, delight, and excite our local fans, whilst also driving growth across our digital platforms. Manage the Spanish & Arabic localisation plans.  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all projects are planned/delivered on time, within budget and to an excellent standard. These teams include; Comms, Creative, Digital, Partnerships, Commercial, Football Operations & Fan Engagement.  Be the go-to expert on Growth Markets for the business, providing a wealth of knowledge and insight when it comes to our fans in these key territories.  Regularly update key stakeholders across the business on market performance and any relevant industry activity.  Constantly review the competitor landscape across key markets and providing updates to the wider teams and senior management.  Support the Brand & Growth Markets Lead in budget management for the US and India, including seasonal planning, monthly reporting and PO management  Manage the KPI tracker for all local market activity, updating it on a weekly basis.

Experience: 




Prior marketing experience, preferably within Sport  Experience leading internal and external teams  Experience managing multiple agencies  Experience working cross functionally to deliver projects  Experience creating digital-first marketing (campaign) strategy to drive awareness/growth  Experience working with data/insight to create a strategy and plans
