NCS Assistant Team Leader - Stamford Bridge, London

  • Fixed Term 2 weeks; October 18th – October 29th, 2021. (2 weeks) 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):

  • To support the implementation of sound operational procedures to enhance the NCS experience for all young people involved across all phases of the programme.
  • To support a group of 12-16 young people in having an unforgettable NCS experience.
  • Ability to engage, encourage, and inspire young people to ensure all participants get the most out of their NCS experience.
  • Shaping and moulding all NCS participant’s outlook and future by being a positive role model throughout the programme.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to use initiative when required too.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (Here to Win):

  • Ensuring all NCS participants have an unforgettable experience on programme.
  • Support a range of activities that engage young people in order to sustain programme participation.
  • Support the capture of success stories on the programme that can be utilised by   Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff for promotional purposes.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications:

Essential

  • GCSE Level 4 and above in Maths and English ©. 

Desirable 

  • FA Coaching Qualification, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates
  • Youth Worker Qualifications relevant to the industry sector.
  • Educated to degree level or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industry sector.

Experience:

Essential

  • A knowledge and understanding of the NCS programme.
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly 15-17 year olds.
  • Experience of working in education/voluntary/community settings.

Desirable

Previous NCS participation.

Experience and/or knowledge of secondary and higher education sector.

The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea FC Foundation policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company’s premises.  The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Safeguarding Lead.
