Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Reports To: Senior Finance Manager
Department: Finance
Location: Cottons Centre, London UK
Role Summary: At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to "Make it easy for men to dress well". The primary purpose of the Senior Tax Analyst is to review and monitor all areas of direct and indirect tax compliance across the group, under the guidance of the Senior Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller
Key Responsibilities: * Review and submit the monthly submissions of US Sales Tax across all of our registrations* Process all EU and ROW VAT and GST returns, reconciling the positions in the balance sheet* Regularly monitor new regulations, audit requests and general notices across our various tax jurisdictions* Develop relationships with key stakeholders such as Tax Advisors and authorities in our various territories* Support the Senior Finance Manager for UK VAT and Customs Duty reporting and compliance* Support the Senior Finance Manager with all key changes in indirect tax requirements, particularly for those currently driven by Brexit and MTD requirements* Work with the Group Finance Controller on the production of the corporation tax filings and compliance for Charles Shirts Ltd, Charles Tyrwhitt Inc, and Charles Tyrwhitt Sarl,* Liaise with local advisors to manage interim payments, accounting and forecasting for tax
Person Specification: Experience Required* Strong technical experience, gained within a tax department, audit firm and/or financial accounting team* Experience in building strong relationships both with internal stakeholders and external advisors
Behavioural Competencies* Demonstrate an aptitude to learn and quickly develop a deep understanding of new technical areas* Strong communication skills with an ability to build rapport with key stakeholders both within and outside the finance department*
Technical Skills* Strong fundamental financial accounting skills across areas such as UK GAAP, Tax and VAT.* Proven eye for detail with the ability to investigate the root cause of any issues* Ability to accurately manipulate large data sets and reach conclusions* Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and an aptitude to interrogate the in-house ERP systems
