The magnificent 5 * Castlemartyr Country Hotel Resort located 20 minutes East of Cork City is currently recruiting a General Manager, responsible for managing the Hotels management team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience.  He / She will be an ambassador for the brand and hotel. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction


Castlemartyr Country Hotel Resort is part of a hotel group with headquarters located at Old Thorns Hampshire England, the successful candidate will have the potential for further career opportunities as the group develops and grows. 

General Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long term strategic goals for the property.
  • Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
  • Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.

  • Proven track record of leading a profitable Resort.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team
  • At least ten years Management experience in a senior position with extensive knowledge in all areas of Hotel operations is required
  • Capability of working on your own initiative, strong self- motivation with the ability to make effective decisions is required
  • Very strong financial acumen
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
