The Role

The Digital Marketing team is responsible for driving and maintaining P&O Cruises digital presence across the entire customer journey and in particular playing a central role in cost-effective marketing acquisition and website development. The scope of the team’s responsibilities includes managing the brand websites, other digital platforms and all elements of digital marketing, including social media, online display advertising, PPC, SEO,affiliates, lead generation, development, online trading & merchandising, digital content production, testing & optimisation.

The Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing a digital strategy for P&O Cruises that will help to drive transformational change:

  • Sources and converts target customers

  • Simplifies and optimises the digital customer experience

  • Showcases the brand offering

  • Builds loyal relationships with customers

  • Delivers a seamless and personalised digital experience across the websites and all digital customer touch points

  • Meets digital business sales and guest experience targets

Our new websites are being built on the Adobe platform, and we are looking for a Director of Digital Marketing who knows how to optimise Adobe’s strengths and manage its limitations. You will need comprehensive knowledge of working with Adobe on experience, analytics and testing.  

About You

It is important to us that you are a strategic and creative thinker with a thorough understanding of the digital media landscape. An individual with strong commercial acumen, tenacious and not afraid to challenge, you will have the ability to Influence and engage. Experience in the following is essential:

  • Managing websites & optimisation programmes on the Adobe platform

  • Data management platform (ideally Adobe) to deliver audience segmentation & personalisation in digital marketing & website delivery

  • Developing and implementing digital strategies in a consumer-facing industry

  • Managing multi million pound digital or multichannel marketing budgets

  • Managing global e-commerce websites & apps

  • Front end design, content & user experience

  • Web analytics software and data analysis

  • Test & optimisation programmes on websites or digital applications

  • Cross-channel marketing planning

  •  Influencing and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
