Receptionist - Fleet - Ship Based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to work on board one of our ships. As a receptionist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Delivering excellent customer service and providing assistance to the guests.
• Handling customer enquiries, issues and complaints.
• Managing the switch board.
• Handling guest accounts, foreign exchange and balancing cash float.

Our ships are world-class, therefore it would be fantastic if you had some previous experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel, but this is not essential. The ability to speak and write in fluent English is an essential and speaking a second language would be a great advantage. However, we believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies.

You can never be sure what requests and feedback you may receive from guests, so ideally you are the type of person who adapts easily to change and juggles priorities to meet unexpected demands. Working as a receptionist you are expected to deliver faultless customer service.  Therefore it would be great if you thrive on exceeding expectations and taking responsibility of your own work. You should have the natural ability to think ahead and anticipate work needs. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading Cruise brands, Cunard or P&O Cruises and further your career with a company who puts its people and customers at the centre of everything we do. The contract length is 6 month onboard and 2 months leave. Life on board involves working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your ten hours will be split between morning, afternoon and evening activities.
