Camp Counsellor
No two days at camp are ever the same, which is what makes it so great. Working as a Counsellor means you’ll be involved with pretty much everything that happens on camp – so get ready for an action-packed summer!
Whatever your experience, skills or interests, there will be a Counsellor role to suit you. Whether that’s as a General Counsellor or facilitating a certain sport/activity at camp.
General counsellors, otherwise known as ‘The All-Rounder’, get involved with everything that camp life has to offer and make the summer an unforgettable experience for the campers. When you arrive on camp, you’ll be assigned to a group of campers and as a General Counsellor you will look after these campers throughout their entire stay and be ready to take part in EVERYTHING. You could be shooting hoops at the Basketball court, getting crafty in the Arts centre, hiking through the woods, before jumping in the lake…and that’s just in the space of one morning!
Being an activity specialist is the position where you can bring your specialist skill to camp! This role typically requires spending much of the day stationed at that activity area on camp where different groups of children will come to you throughout the day for coaching. Roles can be within Sports, Equestrian, Adventure, Creative and Performing Arts and Waterfront/Lifeguards.
