Resorts Reservations Co-ordinator - Cameron House Resort

Cameron House is a luxury five-star hotel located on the South West Shores of Loch Lomond. Set in picturesque surroundings, this stunning Scottish Baronial Mansion is at the heart of The Cameron House Resort and boasts 136 bedrooms and suites and a family friendly leisure club. Our guests can enjoy a choice of dining experiences to suit the occasion including our 2AA Rosette Restaurant the Cameron Grill and accompanying Great Scots Bar as well as the Claret Jug situated within the Carrick and our more relaxed informal Boathouse restaurant overlooking the Marina.

Resort Reservations Co-ordinator

Full time: 40 hours per week x 2. £16,124 p/a

You will be required to work 5 days out of 7, this will require weekend work. Shift times may vary with the earliest start time being 8am and latest finish 7pm.

Reporting to the Reservations Manager or Revenue Director, you will be part of a small team responsible for handling enquiries and bookings for hotel rooms and activities across the resort whilst delivering exceptional guest experiences that enhance our 5 star reputation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively selling hotel accommodation and resort activities including spa, dining and golf over the phone, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue to meet team targets.
  • Processing and replying to guest and travel agent email enquiries to a 5* standard.
  • Carrying out pre-arrival checks to ensure all bookings are accurate and that any special requests are highlighted to ensure we exceed our guest expectations.
  • Protecting the hotel’s revenue by ensuring billing and payment information is correct on reservation and no opportunity is lost.
  • Effective use of our IT systems to book rooms, restaurants and activities.
  • Maintaining awareness of our current promotions and offers.
  • Providing a knowledgeable and attentive approach to guests, capturing details of special occasions, and finding ways to ‘wow’ them.
  • Carrying out general office administration duties.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have experience of selling over the phone as well as face-to-face. It would be great if you have hotel or leisure related experience in a similar role, but it’s not essential.
  • Have confidence, a great attitude, and can communicate articulately with a diverse range of people.
  • Have exceptional written communication skills.
  • Have competent computer skills in MS Office.  Experience in hotel systems would be a bonus.
  • Have great attention to detail and an enquiring mind.
  • Can create a positive first impression and be an ambassador for the Cameron House Hotel brand both on and off duty.
  • Can demonstrate commercial awareness within the context of their role.
