About the role…

In this exciting and varied role, you’ll develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure tactical plans are created and implemented, results are monitored, and sales/marketing goals are achieved.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement sales and marketing plans that drive budgeted results across all revenue channels and expand the company’s customer base
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients across all market segments and grow account value
  • Effectively cross sell other properties within the Cairn Group estate when opportunities arise
  • Make client visits, arrange and host FAM trips, client show-rounds, telesales and email campaigns and sales blitzes that will Identify new business, maximising all sales lead opportunities to drive incremental and new revenue to the hotel
  • Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments to achieve this.
  • Work with the hotel and the central marketing team to ensure all content is up to date on all marketing channels, creating innovative and regular content/updates to ensure maximum exposure is achieved. Coordinate PR activities and deliver high quality marketing campaigns, leading in planning, executing and managing them across digital platforms and print channels

About you…

  • A proven track record of success within this or a similar position with an innovative approach and the ability to react to change (within the hospitality industry is not essential)
  • You’ll possess excellent communication and motivation skills, you’ll need to be a good co-operator and persuader, with a professional, warm, trusting and friendly approach
  • Well informed about the market, and therefore have the ability to accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts in the marketplace, both on a national scale and also for the individual region
  • A drive for sales generation, networking, building reputations and identifying new opportunities within social and corporate markets
  • Strong creative outlook with a confident and dynamic personality. Strong analytical and project management skills with experience of marketing strategy, media channels, and creative writing
