We have a great new opportunity for an experienced Financial Reconciliations Officer to join our busy finance team, on a home based / hybrid basis.

This is a great role for someone who has a keen eye for numbers with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, you'll be highly organised with great communication skills and be able to build rapport with internal and external customers, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.



Your role

As a Financial Reconciliations Officer, your responsibilities for delivering high quality support to Internal and External customers in a timely manner. You'll work within the Financial Reconciliations Team and help us to improve the support we provide in order to improve the accuracy of financial records in a timely manner.

You'll be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, support documentation, and follow-up in line with business requirements. You'll look after our reconciliations including bank, online, cash and payroll and you'll liaise with external third parties to seek resolution of issues.

You'll assist with the Risk & Compliance team as required and you'll escalate issues to the financial reconciliations manager, other duties to include;

  • Processing weekly Petty Cash paperwork
  • Communication and support to business units and various managers on the resolution of issues
  • Assist with setting up new banking requirements for business units
  • Delivery of the payment processes and escalation of issues to the Financial Reconciliations Manager.
  • Payment and book transfer processing and liaison with authorisers to ensure timely conclusion of payments
  • Completion of the daily cash calculation
  • Completion of the daily cash monitor including updating actual cash flow and Cashbook Posting
  • Monitoring of bank charges
  • Arrangement of cash facilities
  • Sales Ledger Processing
  • Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
  • Assist with internal and external Audit requirements


Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Cash management experience
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • A sound knowledge of double entry book keeping, including intercompany
  • High volume reconciliation experience
  • Previous experience of working in Cash Management, Treasury, Financial Reconciliations or Banking function is essential
  • Sales Ledger & Accounts Receivable experience
  • Credit Control experience
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally experience of using E1 / JD Edwards
  • Your skills:
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to react to high pressure scenarios
  • Customer focused ensuring high standards are delivered to internal and external customers
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision along with the ability to plan own time effectively


Salary & benefits
