Trainee SIA Safety Officer - Bognor Regis, West Sussex

As a Trainee SIA Officer you will need to deal with a wide range of challenges which will require you to combine your customer service skills with your security knowledge. You will need to ensure that our guests feel safe and secure throughout their stay at Butlin's. Good communication is vital together with a fair approach to resolving any problems that may occur. Whether working in one of our licensed venues, patrolling the grounds or giving a warm welcome at the gate, the purpose of the role remains the same: our guests' safety is your priority.

Our Resort Safety team to help keep our team and guests safe whilst on holiday. We create smiles and take care of each other by implementing company policies and procedures correctly, in order to achieve a safe, secure and appealing environment for all.

Main duties of the role cover:
*Regular patrols of the Resort
*Checking our resort venues are locked and secured when closed
*Access control of our three Resort entrances with a guest-focused approach
*Welcoming our guests on check in days to the Resort providing the best possible first two hours experience
*Escorting cash in transit around our resort
*Responding to and resolving incidents in a fair-minded manner.
*Offering first aid assistance to team and guests.
*Responding to and dealing with fire activations
*Documenting incidents by writing statements and completing report forms
*Working in accordance to Butlin's, SIA and local licensing laws when working in our licensed venues.
*Access control of our licensed venues entrances
*Being part of a successful winning team that ensures a safe and secure environment of all guests and team on our Resort.

Great training and development opportunities: we provide and cover the cost of training for every element of the role covering free access to online counter terrorism courses, First Aid at Work qualification and the SIA Door Supervisor Level 2 qualification.

The ideal candidate should:
*Be fully capable to work under pressure
*Be a good communicator with computer skills.
*Have exceptional time keeping and a flexible approach to shift patterns in a 24/7 working environment
*Set high standards of dress and bearing at all times whilst on duty or on company property
*Enjoy working well within a team environment
*Approach all tasks with enthusiasm, maintaining a positive mental attitude.
