Birchwood Park is one of the busiest wedding and events venues in Kent and with our purpose built event suite we accommodate, weddings, all events from Christmas parties to funerals and with our recently installed state of the art conference equipment are expanding into a new part of event sales to which you would be instrumental in delivering.

As a key part of the team at Birchwood Park you would report directly to the Sales & marketing Manager and help lead what is already a very successful and popular destination for weddings and events. With over 60 weddings per year and plans to expand the business we are looking for a candidate to grow this business to the next level.

Main Duties:

Assist with  the Sales & Marketing of all areas of the weddings and events business and assist Heads of Departments in maximising opportunities to increase revenue and drive sales whilst ensuring a high level of presentation and customer service is maintained at all times. 

Responsibilities:

Weddings & Events

  • Assess seasonal business trends
  • Review competitors on a regular basis
  • Design and implement seasonal packages targeting local markets
  • Process all enquiries/bookings and ensure all deposits are collected
  • Prepare event sheets in accordance with bookings
  • Manage and retain existing accounts and customers
  • Follow up promotions and campaigns with telesales
  • Greet group bookings on arrival and capitalise on all up-selling opportunities
  • Promote group golf, conferences, weddings and events.

Data Collection & Website

  • Ensure materials are in place for collection of data
  • Ensure all data from enquiries are collected and input on to ESP
  • Utilise website to market facilities and campaigns

Marketing and General Standards

  • Assist with Centre marketing plan to promote key business opportunities
  • Observe on a daily basis all departmental standards and liaise with all HODs to ensure the highest service standards are met
  • Comply with Burhill Golf Limited personnel policies and procedures and health and safety procedures
  • To undertake any further reasonable duties as requested by the management
