Wedding and Events Coordinator - Thornbury Golf Centre – Bristol

Job Type: Full-time: Due to the nature of the role candidates must be flexible to working evenings and weekends.

Thornbury Golf & Lodge is recruiting for the role of Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate would have background of selling and coordinating Weddings and Events, and poses a passion for delivering a first class experience to our guests.

Working under the Sales Manager, this role would be the first point of contact for all Wedding enquiries and be responsible for showcasing the venue and creating bespoke packages for our guests.

The job role:

  • Managing and dealing with enquiries for weddings, events and conferences
  • Contacting new sales leads, conducting needs analysis and creating proposals
  • Conducting show arounds around the centre
  • Creating contacts and taking deposits for new business
  • Setting up and acting upon tasks set on our events booking system to collect final details and collating this onto functions sheets for the operations team
  • Organising quarterly wedding showcases on site and attending off site wedding fairs
  • Monitoring sales and pushing towards targets
  • Adhering to KPIs (occasional monitoring using mystery calls etc)
