Management Accountant - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

Full Time - Monday to Friday – 8.30 to 5pm with 30 minute unpaid break

Job Description

With the successful development of the Brocket Hall Estate and the much anticipated opening of Auberge du Lac, we are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance Department.

Job Purpose        

To ensure that the accounting system is effectively controlled and accounted for.

Job Tasks             

  • Accuracy and timeliness of monthly and annual accounts in Sage supported by a fully reconciled balance sheet;
  • Supervision of the Revenue and Purchasing Controller;
  • Timely completion and submission of VAT returns;
  • Actively working with the FD to deliver planned results;
  • Assist FD in production of plans, budgets and forecasts;
  • Review of financial procedures and controls on an on-going basis to ensure the smooth running of the business together with the FD;
  • Ensure strict compliance with local fiscal legislation;

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education. CIMA and HOSPA qualified preferred;

Work Related Experience

  • Experienced management accountant in the hospitality industry;
  • Used to reporting to strict deadlines;
  • Proven supervisory and communication skills;
  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Familiarity with Sage and “Uniform System of Accounts” preferable;
  • Advanced MS Office
