A quintessentially English Country Estate

Brocket Hall
Brocket Hall, an exclusive and unique venue for corporate events, weddings and parties, is fully staffed with professional butlers discreetly anticipating your every whim and a team of chefs delivering the highest culinary standards.

The Hall was built in 1760 and has been the home to two Prime Ministers, Lord Melbourne and Lord Palmerston, one of Queen Victoria’s favourite country estates and is today one of England’s most enchanting luxury venues favoured by the rich and famous.

With luxurious accommodation and exceptional meeting facilities set in over 540 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside just 22 miles from Central London makes Brocket Hall a preferred venue for business leaders and politicians to meet in a relaxed, private and convivial environment.

Golf
The courses are appropriately named after the Prime Ministers who once resided at Brocket Hall, Lord Palmerston and Lord Melbourne. Both are quintessentially British by design, but at the same time offer a completely different challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Together, they are two of the finest golf courses in England and provide the perfect backdrop for the tournaments and golf days that fill the social calendar. Both courses regularly play host to professional and members’ tournaments as well as Pro-Am tournaments where our members can meet and play with professionals from around the world.

The renowned practice facilities of The Melbourne Club Golf Academy and a charmingly positioned luxury Clubhouse on the banks of the Broadwater Lake make The Melbourne Club one of the UK’s most exclusive golf venues.

Dining
Whether it is al fresco dining in summer at the water’s edge or an intimate environment in the winter months, Auberge du Lac provides the right mood for every occasion. With a beautiful lounge, picturesque terrace and a host of tastefully decorated private dining rooms, capable of seating from 2 to 16 guests, the restaurant regularly caters for private dinners, ladies lunches, weddings, birthday parties and other celebrations.

Staying
|n the tranquil grounds of the Brocket Hall Estate lies Melbourne Lodge, our elegant Georgian coach house conversion. Previously the stable block, it sheltered the tireless steeds that not only took the Hall’s residents hunting, but also provided the main point of interest on race days proudly held on the private race course that circled the Estate during the 18th Century.

With beautiful views of the Hall, Broadwater Lake and the Melbourne golf course, the 16 luxury en suite bedrooms in Melbourne Lodge, each named after one of the great racehorses of the day, are the perfect place to stay after enjoying an exhilarating round of golf on one of our championship courses, a sumptuous dinner in Auberge du Lac, a fabulous wedding or private party.
