Careers at BTP
Cue bragging… Our customers tell us that the #1 reason people visit Boston Tea Party is our people. Not only do we agree, but we couldn’t be prouder of this fact!
Life at BTP isn’t always easy but it is definitely rewarding and fun and as proud as we are of our teams we aim for them to be equally as proud of working with us.
Our teams bring energy and enthusiasm to everything that they do; whether it be in or out of work. You get to be yourself – your true self and we will love you for that!
We don’t do split shifts. Our hours are much more social than most food businesses (you’ll be home way before the pubs close!). We are always looking to invest in our equipment; making your job easier and keeping us ahead of the game.
Each café has a team made up of Team Members, Baristas, Supervisors, Chefs and of course, our management team (GM, AM, Kitchen Management and Head Barista).
Our Success Stories
We’ll be sure you’re trained and developed and if you want to progress you’ll know how. This is how it happened for some of our current superstars:
Here’s what Sam, our Group Food Trainer has to say about his journey…
My career with Boston Tea Party started many moons ago, when achieving GP% targets and developing a trusted team were just a distant dream.
Working as a Kitchen Team member when I started and now as a Company Kitchen Trainer, I have had a challenging yet heavily rewarding career with BTP. I have learnt many new skills along the way and honed many existing ones, all with the support of qualified General Managers a solid Operational team.
With BTP I have worked for and with a rainbow of different characters, each of whom, not only has developed me as a worker but also as a person. It’s the personal qualities of BTP that remain its biggest allure.
Training, development and recognition of high performance have always been areas of interest to me. These areas of work within BTP have always been pushed and supported from within, turning Kitchen porters into experienced chefs on a regular basis. It’s those success stories, amongst others, that excite me about my current role.
We’re always looking for lovely people, especially as we grow. Our current locations can be found in: Bath, Bristol, Stratford-upon-Avon, Harborne, Birmingham, Worcester, Cheltenham, Salisbury, Ringwood, Exeter, Honiton, Barnstaple and Plymouth.
Our Support Team (including Operations, Finance, HR, Food & Drinks, Marketing and Training) who are based in Bristol is also growing and we always look to our cafes first as we know we have the best people already working for us.
We’re looking to open more sites on the South Coast, outer Birmingham area, Bristol & Bath; sign up to our Facebook (BTP Cafes) and Twitter (@BTP Cafes) pages to keep up to date.
