Described as “London’s No 1 jazz venue” by Tatler Magazine, Boisdale of Canary Wharf is a two-floor venue overlooking the fountains of Cabot Square. Jools Holland is Boisdale’s Patron of Music presenting the very best in jazz, blues and soul and occasionally rock’n’roll. There are several areas in which to eat, drink and relax: award-winning restaurant, four private dining rooms, The Oyster Bar & Grill, The Cigar Terrace, the world’s most extensive whisky bar (over 1000 malt whiskies!), and a stunning walk-in cigar humidor & shop.
The food offering ranges from an excellent value bar menu with a wonderful selection of burgers starting at £7.95 and an a la carte menu celebrating great British ingredients with flair and imagination. The dry aged Aberdeenshire steaks are simply amazing! You can also enjoy fabulous cocktails, a good selection real ales and draft lagers as well as an outstanding wine list with over 200 bins.
Boisdale of Belgravia is west London’s favourite British restaurant and live music venue. There is no place with exuberance to match the spirit of this “London’s hidden gem” where foot-tapping live music whets the appetite for a stellar line-up of ingredients sourced from the magnificent natural larder of Scotland: wild Highland game, Hebridean shellfish, Loch Ryan Native oysters, Dunkeld smoked salmon, roast Blackface haggis served with mash, neeps and the obligatory noggin of a single malt as well as a wide array of vegetarian and vegan treats. On offer is also a mindboggling selection of wines and whiskies not forgetting handmade Cuban cigars which can be enjoyed on the cosy terrace.
Boisdale of Bishopsgate opened in The City of London in 2002. The establishment reflects the eclectic and idiosyncratic atmosphere of Boisdale of Belgravia and is well known for its outstanding food. The ground floor Champagne & Oyster Bar for drinking and relaxed dining has a large contingent of regular and devoted City customers. The Restaurant on the lower ground floor offers formal dining with booths and alcoves for private business discussions as well as the traditional Piano Bar with light live music every night with entertainment provided by a band of top British musicians who present music influenced by the likes of Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, BB King, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Jimmy Witherspoon and many more.
Boisdale of Mayfair is a small and charming restaurant located in converted listed stables on North Row, off Park Lane. Decorated in a distinctive design of red and dark green walls, rich mahogany panelling and an eclectic collection of classical and modern original artwork featuring the cocktail bar on its lower level and a shellfish bar and restaurant on the ground level which boasts one of the largest cheese selection in London.
Each evening Boisdale of Mayfair presents a fine selection of London’s elite pianists and singers performing great tunes to accompany the evening. The Vinyl Bar & Groove Lounge downstairs is fitted with the best sound in the world from Devialet Phantom, to produce the ultimate vinyl and cocktail experience.
The cocktail list is being curated by accomplished mixologists, Alex and Eliis, both putting their passion for music and cocktail into creating a very special experience. The cocktail menu includes daily changing specials with a combination of bright and unusual innovations and fascinating retro research, including discovering what all the artists on the wall drank if they were into cocktails, from John Lennon and Fats Waller to Elvis Presley and Billy Holliday. Man cannot live by booze and sound alone so for substantial grazing there is a great and varied British tapas menu available and a full a La carte menu from restaurant upstairs if desired.
