Morgan

Morgan - Level 2 Apprentice

Morgan joined Bodystreet Coventry City after leaving her football academy and is the prime example of the positive impact the company and scheme have made on young people. Since joining Bodystreet Morgan says, ‘I’ve become a lot more confident since I've been here, and it's just helped me grow as a person.’ She now has the confidence to talk about fitness with the members, giving her transferable skills she can utilise in the future. And, more recently, she has now taken on the role of Bodystreet Studio Supervisor.

John

Jonathan Carless - Level 2 Apprentice

Jonathan joined Bodystreet after the pandemic led to him being made redundant from the hospitality industry. Joining the personal training studio has provided him with experience in the fitness industry that will jumpstart his careers. "I have gained a lot of experience and not just that, but confidence and social skills," says Jonathan. "Bodystreet has allowed me to really open up and grow more as a person."

Leah

Leah - Level 3 Apprenticeship

"I joined Bodystreet in November 2020. For the first 2 years, I was Studio Manager at the Coventry studio. I thoroughly enjoy working in the studio, working with and developing my team of instructors and supporting our members to achieve their personal targets. Quality standards are of high importance to me and how we implement these at Bodystreet Coventry is something that I'm very proud of. As a result, Bodystreet Coventry was the first studio to receive an international award within our organisation, as a reflection of the corporate values.

During the first 12 months of my employment, I completed a Level 3 in Team Leader and Supervisor, through the apprenticeship programme, which increased my knowledge and equipped me with a wider variety of tools to be able to manage and lead a team. Since completing the apprenticeship, I have been able to implement different strategies and processes for leadership, which has ultimately helped me to build a strong and successful team.

My role at Coventry now also consists of mentoring younger apprentices through their Level 2 Customer Service qualifications, to further develop them into successful Bodystreet fitness instructors. This is a great reflection of the leadership skills attained through the apprenticeship programme."
