Duty Manager - Mumbles, Swansea
Our Mumbles Bistrot Pierre is open seven days a week and we serve Breakfast (Sat and Sun) Lunch and Dinner.
Our restaurant typically caters for a volume of anything from around 100 covers on a quiet weekday lunch service up to around 330 covers per service on a busy lunchtime evening or weekend.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and professional Duty Manager to join our team.
Duties of the Duty Manager:
- To be fully “hands on” during service, taking on the full role of serving our customers
- To be responsible for the supervision of front of house team members, nurturing, mentoring and coaching individuals to help the General Manager build a competent team, which maximises the individuals’ potential and performance
- To assist the General Manager in ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service standards within the bistrot by all team members.
- To help all waiting staff deliver the standards laid out in our guidelines and to live and breath the culture and values of the business
- To be instrumental in assisting the company to achieve its vision of “great value and delicious cooking in a buzzy atmosphere provided by a friendly and professional team enjoying themselves”
- Assisting the General Manager in ensuring the front of house team always provides the customer with excellent customer service and food which meets the brand standards
We are looking for a Duty Manager who has/is:
- Confident and engaging
- Professional and friendly
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent supervisory and team working qualities
- Ambitious and with a good sense of humour
- Hardworking, enthusiastic and very hands on
- A cool head under pressure
- High standards and expectations for the notion of hospitality
- A good eye for detail
- A proven track record as a front of house manager or experienced waiter with some supervisory experience, gained in a fast paced, premium casual dining, good quality hotel or restaurant environment
- Advanced IT skills
