Business Coordinator - Hemel Hempstead

37.5 hours per week | £25,000 DOE + Bonus and Excellent Benefits

What we need in a nutshell

We’re looking for a super-organised, flexible person with a positive can-do attitude, to support our executive team and manage the smooth running of our lovely open-plan support office.

This role would be ideal for a recent graduate with a couple of solid years’ work experience in an administration role who is looking to build a career in business and develop with our growing brand.

What you’ll be doing

In this high profile and demanding role, you will be:

  • Supporting the executive team – co-ordinating diaries planning board meetings, booking travel and reconciling expenses
  • Managing meetings – setting up rooms, creating agendas and info packs, writing and following up on actions
  • Planning company events such as awards nights, roadshows and social events
  • Project administration – Supporting the Strategic Assistant with ad hoc project administration tasks.
  • Managing our office facilities - ordering stationery and sundries, liaising with office landlords, cleaners and other suppliers, and being our Health & Safety representative

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day-to-day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn. As part of the central support team, you will be providing the back-up that allows the magic to happen.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Calmness under pressure, an optimistic outlook and a can-do attitude;
  • Great communication skills: written, digital and face to face – including excellent spelling and grammar;
  • Administration and event planning experience;
  • Bags of self-confidence and energy, and well-honed influencing and negotiating skills;
  • Advanced IT skills.

It’s the icing on the cake (but not essential) if you are a graduate, have experience of MAC applications and have worked in a similar role in an entrepreneurial environment.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun-loving, people-centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers.
