HR Manager - Fixed Term Maternity Cover

What we need in a nutshell

This is true generalist HR role.  Leading our people operations team to deliver our exciting and ambitious people plan, you will be instrumental in building and developing our amazing team of Holiday Heroes and making Away Resorts an even more amazing place to work.

You will be responsible for partnering with managers and heads of department across the business to provide advice, support , guidance and the tools they need to be the best they can be.

The nitty gritty of what you'll be doing

Reporting to the Director of People Strategy and as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will:

• Lead on the strategy  to attract and recruit new Holiday Heroes
• Support our park managers to engage with, manage  and develop their teams
• Review and maintain our policies
• Implement systems that add value to our business
• Drive our communications strategy to ensure everyone feels part of the team
• Lead the management of our regular team surveys and the resulting action plans
• Manage the payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll is delivered

Skills, experience and qualities you'll need

• Experience of managing an HR Team with the appropriate qualification
• A pragmatic and commercial approach
• The ability to mobilise a team, manage your own time and workload and work at pace
• Outstanding communication skills – able to adapt communication styles and behaviours
• Resilience and decisiveness under pressure
• A willingness to travel and be away from home

Nice to have but not essential

It would great if you can tick these boxes too (but we won't hold it against you if you can't):

• Chartered MCIPD and/or CIPD Level 7
• Degree with an element of HRM or HRD
• Experience of working collaboratively with a wide variety of individuals
• Experience of working in the hospitality sector: across muti sites and nationally
