What we need in a nutshell

We want our holiday home owners and potential owners to feel that choosing to become part of the Away Resorts family was, and is, the best decision they could ever make.

Some of the background

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests, including our holiday home owners, come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

As a Holiday Home Sales Receptionist, you will be the person who delivers delight to homeowners and potential purchasers of our holiday homes, being the first and main point of contact for all their needs.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing

Working as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will be the friendly face of our holiday home sales department to potential and existing holiday home owners, doing, among many other things, the following:

  • Meeting and greeting our owners and prospective owners
  • Taking a genuine interest in each owner and prospective owner, building rapport and asking open questions, so that you can help the sales team look after them appropriately
  • Supporting owners throughout their ownership journey and dealing with queries professionally and efficiently
  • Responding to correspondence and supporting the sales team generally

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

First and foremost, you will be a people person. You will have a talent for making people feel special, whether it’s having the ability to genuinely listen to potential owners at the start of their journey, or building long term relationships with existing owners, remembering the details that matter to them.

You’ll be a genuine team player, as you have an important role in helping the sales team reach their targets. You will also be one of those positive people who set out to solve problems and put forward new ideas.

Other skills you’ll need include a brilliant telephone manner, the ability to multi task while keeping customers happy, proficiency on Microsoft Word and Excel, and amazing attention to detail.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Experience of working on the hospitality sector

Want to join our team? Here’s how to apply

Click on the Apply Now button. If you’re new to our website, we’ll prompt you to register. If you’ve already registered, you can simply log in. Then complete your details and send us your best version of you.

That could be a vlog, blog or a Snapchat story; it could be a good old CV – if it is a CV, make sure you add a note or covering letter to say why you’re the one for the job.

It’s up to you what you say and how you say it; whatever makes you feel good and tells your story best.

Good Luck!
