Guest Services Supervisor – Gara Rock Hotel

Salary: £23,920 - £24,960 DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Shift Pattern: from 8am to 9pm, 5 days out of 7 days

We are Gara Rock - a Boutique Hotel and Restaurant perched on a clifftop right on the Southwest Coastal Path and just across the water from Salcombe.

We’re relaxed, friendly and down to earth. Luxury without pretention if you will, and we’re devoted to making sure our guests, visitors and team have the best time with us. Right now, we’re looking for some talented individuals to join our family and help us deliver our Gara Rock experience.

We’re a hidden gem of tranquillity on the South Devon coast. For those of you who have had the pleasure (or not) of working in big city centres, it can be a very hectic non-stop lifestyle. We live on the beautiful south coast, rolling hills, stunning beaches, pubs with big fireplaces and real ales, it’s a lifestyle choice to be enjoyed. It is vital you can travel to our wonderful location; however we do have limited team accommodation available, and as a team we always help each other out with lift shares.

Here at Gara we love delighting our guests with fantastic customer service and no two days are ever the same! We know that often means demanding and long hours in the hospitality industry, but we are committed to our teams’ work-life balance and breaking the long hours mould.

Overtime is available for those who want to top up their pay, but it’s never expected of you, with contractual hours available from just a few hours per week through to full time we strive to give you the right balance of time off.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to the Guest Services Manager and Guest Services Team.
• Ensuring an incredible guest experience including, check-ins, check-outs, information, and assistance across all elements of the guest journey.  Rooming, room reservations, responding to email and telephone enquiries.
• Developing processes to facilitate the smooth running of reception duties.
• Duty Management
