About the role

As Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in providing guests with all service and assistance connected with cleaning and maintaining all Food and Beverage work areas, materials and equipment in line with the Health and Safety regulations.

Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:

  • Washing, scrubbing and maintaining all the back of house areas together with all operational kitchen equipment.
  • Safely operating dish washing machine, decarboniser machines and compactor
  • Responsible for the correct use of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
  • Responsible to empty all garbage as appropriate, adopting the ‘clear as you go’ method of working
  • Accountable for assisting with equipment stock takes, ordering, stores requisitioning
  • Responsible for deep cleaning of areas in the hotel including, but not restricted to lobby bay, front entrance and outside, back office, stairways, kitchens, corridors and staff areas
