We require a Head Office Management Accountant on a maternity cover basis (until July 2020) to join the Finance team based at our Head Office in Poole, Dorset. 

The Head Office Management Accountant is responsible for all elements of producing monthly management accounts, five year strategic plan and budgets for the Head Office cost centres.  

You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the Head Office Corporate cost centres and several other smaller Corporate entities, the consolidation for all Corporate companies and the capital reporting and will be involved with tax packs, preparation of statutory accounts, and other ad hoc reporting as required.  

You will be building strong relationships with cost centre managers and finance teams, supporting and challenging cost control and responsible for the formulation and management of the 5 year strategic plan, annual budget and maintaining full year forecast projections by liaising closely with the leadership team and department managers.  

This role will be based at our Poole Head Office but will require some travel to our offices at Chessington and other locations.

We are looking for the following skills and experience...

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with an excellent understanding of Excel including pivot tables and look ups. 
  • A knowledge of Sage and Hyperion would also be an advantage.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter, highly organised and flexible – able to roll with changing priorities and differing styles of budget holders.
  • Excellent strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business and feel confident to challenge the status quo and provide recommendations accordingly.
  • Stakeholder exposure including presenting to senior management.
  • Analysis of financial and non-financial information demonstrating understanding of core accounting principles
  • Budget setting and budget control experience.
  • Delivering and implementing new processes and improvements. 
  • You will have a good level of personal impact, confidence and credibility, strong verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to a variety of individuals.
  • Strong personal organisation and time management skills and the ability to remain cool under pressure.
