inancial Planning and Analysis Manager to join us at the Alton Towers Resort, the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy! In this role you'll work very closely with the Financial Controller and the business. You'll be responsible for project accounting and decision support for upcoming projects, which will include special events and major capital investments - so you'll be right at the heart of the exciting future development of the Resort. You'll have full line management responsibility for 2 team members. You'll also be responsible for the Resort's financial planning and analysis, including capital development plans, business planning and budgeting cycles and forecasting in the year. This role would be ideal for an accountant who is either newly qualified or almost qualified, or perhaps someone who is looking to take their first steps into industry. We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- A graduate or equivalent, qualified or close to qualified Accountant
- Team leadership and supervision
- Communication of financial information to non-financial business managers
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Basic Tax and VAT knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially spreadsheets, database and reporting tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel is required
- Fixed assets/capital accounting
- Experience in dealing directly with business managers
- Able to cover Sunday reporting on a rota basis.
The role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
