2017 Cash Office Assistant - HB Leisure​ - Stoke-on-Trent

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Cash Office Assistant to assist the Area Cash Controller in the day to day control and collection of monies from machines/games, in line with Company operating standard using the company computerised system, machines and staff under your control. The key areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Ensure that all company items issued to you, in particular with regard to keys are maintained in a careful and secure manner.
  • To ensure the security of all monies and other company assets at all times whilst they are under your control.
  • Where applicable issue working floats to Arcade/Games Manager, maintaining auditory control of the floats and assist in their administration.
  • To count and reconcile all monies collected, and to hand it over to the designated person, ensuring that relevant paperwork is signed at the time.
  • Maintain a vigilant presence around operators with regard to the use of individual floats.
  • Conduct regular random checks of floats, keys, stock and vouchers as well as weekly and period checks.
  • To ensure that all machine tubes/hoppers are filled to the correct level and with the correct denomination of coin.
  • To ensure that whilst collections are in progress, the venue is secure and that only authorised personnel are in attendance.
  • Once monies have been removed from the machines/games, ensure that all machines/game cash boxes are securely locked with the appropriate locks. Report any faulty locks to the Site Engineer/s.
  • Ensure that collections are done is such a way that the money is moved safely with a minimal amount of physical exertion using applicable aids, such as sack barrows to transport monies to counting areas. Never overload buckets/containers with monies to such a degree that it could cause a strain/injury.
  • Maintain a close liaison at all times with the Site Managers, ensuring any unresolved problems are dealt with satisfactorily.
  • Ensure documentation required to be submitted by you is accurate, complete and submitted on time.
  • Observe the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and ensure that all health, safety and security regulations and procedures are implemented and complied with providing a safe environment at all times for both staff and customers, reporting any faults where necessary to the appropriate manager.
  • Alarm codes issued to you should not be revealed to any other person.
  • To ask for ID if any visitors/strangers in non-public areas, whilst at all times ensuring the safety of yourself and other members of staff.
  • To remain on site until all duties have been completed and all monies have reconciled to the correct figure or have been given authorisation by your line manager to leave.
  • To protect and keep confidential the Company’s business interests, except as authorised or required by your duties.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as required and to work in other areas of the operation, where necessary, during closed season to support the business needs of the Company.
