£28,700 per annum

The Stock Controller is part of the Catering team and will oversee the management, purchase and replenishment of stock effectively maintaining optimum stock levels across all catering units. Experience in a similar role is essential in addition to proven experience supervising staff and excellent excel skills. Experience of accounting and stock control software is desirable.

This is a full time permanent position working 48 hours per week (5 days from 7)

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Responsible for reviewing all orders required by departments and checking delivery notes of all ordered stock to confirm quantity and quality (food and beverage, disposables, cleaning materials) and to goods receive into stock system.  Ensuring required products are readily available and delivered on time.
  2. Maintain accurate record of stock & carry out regular cash to till analysis. Ensuring that all orders / delivery notes and invoices are processed on Stock management system and passed onto Accounts Payable in a timely manner to meet month-end deadlines.   
  3. Responsible for checking latest cost prices against delivery notes and invoices and querying discrepancies with suppliers ensuring that prices are within any supplier framework agreement. Support with the Procurement of new suppliers.
  4. Carry out weekly updates of menu dishes and portion costs as required on Stock system and EPOS till system.
  5. Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels, ensuring supply meets demand in anticipation of trading expectations.  Developing a control model that promotes a lower cost of sales.
  6. Take responsibility for accuracy of output data from the Stock and EPOS till system, maintaining stock system ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  7. Conducting the monthly external stock take in accordance with procedures plus conduct weekly stock takes of the PBK, ice café and hospitality areas.
  8. To take responsibility for monthly stock reconciliations including reporting and resolving discrepancies and amending Stock system records and updating all event P&Ls.
  9. Responsible for the functionality of for the Stock and EPOS till system including updates, liaising with external support and providing training to users.
