The Laburnum ‘Blobber’ is a detached pub located in a residential area of Bootle and located off the busy Merton Road through the town of Bootle. The pub is only a ten minute walk into the Strand which is the main shopping area. Bootle is a town located in the Borough of Sefton with a population of approximately 78,000 and is approximately three miles from Liverpool City Centre.

Trading style

The Laburnum is a traditional pub which is popular amongst the local community with an established customer base. The pub shows live sports and is popular with the sports fans, it also has pool and darts teams. Entertainment is also popular with karaoke and live bands featuring every week. Admiral Taverns are looking for strong applicants who have experience in running or managing their own pub. They will understand the community and have the drive and passion to develop the current offer. Although food is not being served, there is an opportunity to introduce a basic snack menu with the support of Admiral Taverns catering executive. On entering through the front door, the pub has two trading areas with the bar located to the left hand side with a pool table and darts okke and separate snug area, the lounge is located to the right. The bar servery separates both these trading areas however the bar can serve both trading rooms. Also in the lounge is a raised area that is often used for the entertainment at weekends. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the rear of the pub in the lounge. Externally, there is a small beer garden to the rear of the pub with benches and is a sun trap in the summer months. There is no car park, but there is some street parking in the immediate area.
