Active Nation are on the hunt for a new Healthy Living Advisor to join our Active Communities team within Southampton.

We are seeking to recruit a Healthy Living Advisor (Health Trainer/Coach) to join our Active Communities team.

The successful candidate will probably be Level 3 / GP referral qualified, however this role is more about looking at a person’s whole lifestyle. You’ll take a holistic 360 degree approach to help people to make small, but significant changes to all aspects of their lifestyle.

The aim is to help people reduce their risk of ill health and ideally prevent them from developing long term health conditions altogether.

Do you have a good understanding of the impact of poor lifestyle choices and healthy lifestyle changes?

Are you able to build strong relationships with groups and individuals enabling you to inspire, motivate and encourage local people to make positive lifestyle changes and achieve their healthy living goals?

This exciting and pivotal role will report to the Health & Wellbeing Lead and be responsible for:

  • delivering community health services including group clinics and 1-2-1 consultations
  • managing the exercise referral caseload and follow-up tasks
  • working with diverse members of the community to deliver brilliant physical activity behaviour change programmes

We may need you to work across our weekend and evening service hours, providing superior participant sessions and healthy living consultations, therefore, a flexible working approach would be beneficial.
