Senior Campaigner (Membership Sales)

Active Nation Southampton

Chamberlayne Leisure Centre

£18k per annum (plus benefits and commission)

Active Nation is the UKs leading sport and exercise charity. Our mission is to persuade the nation to be more active. We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic, responsible and pro-active Senior Campaigner to join our team at Chamberlayne Leisure Centre to play a key role in driving membership growth at the venue.

Active Nation's membership packages offer Supporters the choice of the Gym, Fitness Classes, Swimming, The Powerhouse, Racket Sports, Creche, Fitness Coaching and more, all from £18.99 per month. As a key component of weight loss and living a health lifestyle we understand nutrition is key and therefore all of our memberships come with Active Nutrition, our online nutritional tool, bolted on. We believe what we offer provides incredible value for money.

Reporting in to the Contract Commercial Manager, the successful candidate must be motivated and driven to generate leads through telephone calls/outreach and in-reach activities to book appointments and close sales. You’ll deliver the charities sales process to a tee! It’s all about building relationships and helping prospects become Supporters and to achieve their sport, exercise and nutritional goals as well as recommending us to their friends and family. You'll take ownership of our Live Chat function to liaise with Supporters and prospects online in order to handle their queries. You'll also play a supporting role to the venue Operations Manager in the promotion of other venue income codes such as birthday parties and hall hire.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work a mixture of early and late shifts and also some weekends. You'll also obtain key holder responsibility and be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the building whilst on shift.

Active Nation is going through an exciting period of change and the successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation of new systems and processes designed to make us more effective in our mission to persuade the nation to be more active. So, if you consider yourself confident in talking to new people on the phone and in person, confident in persuading someone to try something new, confident in managing your own database of prospects and confident in making a difference to peoples lives through sport and exercise then this could be the perfect role for you.

To apply for the role, or for more information, please contact Jon Randall (Commercial Manager) with your CV and covering letter explaining why you’re the perfect candidate for this role.
