1 x Full Time Position

5 x Zero Hour Contracts

Role Purpose: (how your role contributes to the mission)

  • Ensure a safe environment by observing the pool at all times and supervising activities and to provide clean changing and showering facilities to ensure that supporters have an enjoyable visit to the venue and want to return.

  • Safe Supporters and staff – the pool is supervised at all times
  • Happy Supporters who will recommend Active Nation activities to others
  • Emergency situations are (preferably) avoided, but well managed if activated

Detailed outputs:

  • Safe Supporters and staff – The pool is supervised at all times
  • Follow the NOP to ensure you are scanning the correct position
  • Maintain a constant 10:20 scan of the pool
  • Supervise specialist activities such as the slide and inflatable
  • Maintain a current NPL:Q qualification, including minimum attendance at staff training and role competence
  • Success measured by achievement of stated accident targets on or around poolside

Happy Supporters who will recommend Active Nation activities to others all

  • Swimmers are educated in and adhere to pool etiquette and rules
  • Ensure swim lanes are being used appropriately
  • Intimidating behaviour is dealt with appropriately
  • All types of supporter are treated equally
  • Pool ancillary facilities (toilets, showers, changing areas etc.) are presented in an clean, hygienic and appealing way
  • Success measured by achievement of target supporter NPS

Emergency situations are dealt with accordingly

  • Supervise and monitor the pool areas to predict and avoid emergency situations arising
  • Work as a team so that when a first aid emergency arises everything is done to help the casualty 
  • Follow instructions from the Duty Manager to follow emergency procedures
  • Deliver first aid as required.
