Duty Manager – Egham, Surrey
Salary: From £25,750.00 per year
As Duty Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our flagship site Egham Orbit.
We seek leaders who are also team players, excellent communicators and enjoy working in a fast moving environment.
Key Duties
- Leading and supporting lifeguards and operational staff to deliver high standards in customer service.
- Ensuring a sound approach is followed in the management of health and safety.
- Developing a specialist area of responsibility to allow you to develop in your leisure career (e.g. health & safety / sports development / aquatics development etc)
- Ensuring facility presentation standards are met, monitored and maintained.
Daily Duties
To undertake the role of the Duty Manager, ensuring the building and grounds operates safely and effectively.
To be responsible for the general supervision and day to day control of all staff directly involved in the cleaning, preparation, checklists and building security.
To ensure the attainment of approved standards of facilities and preparation of same, prior to use by various user groups.
To assist in the organisation of events, courses and sessions, which will promote the profile and income of the centre.
To ensure the processes and systems for Risk and Health and Safety management are adhered to.
To ensure that public and staff operate at all times, within the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and Achieve Lifestyle’s management rules.
The organisation of staff rotas shifts and holiday arrangements.
Supporting the recruitment, development and training of operational staff, planning work schedules determining priorities and allocating duties.
To ensure effective communication is in place with staff, to allow staff the ability to perform their duties to the require standard, and to ensure they feel part of the overall company.
Essential
- Relevant experience working in a sports and leisure facility
- Able to work shifts early morning / evenings / weekend
- People person - able to lead others
- Supervisory / Team Leader Experience
- IT competent
- NPLQ (current or ability to re-qualify)
