General Manager - Woughton Leisure Centre - Milton Keynes
£30,000, plus company benefits
About your role
Are you an experienced General Manager looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an experienced General Manager to manage the most unique fitness facility in the country, Incorporating Woughton Leisure Centre and the Depot at Woughton on the Green.
We are looking to recruit a General Manager who will be an enthusiastic leader, commercially astute and a focused customer service individual. With at least 12 months experience, ideally from a leisure environment, you’d be able to demonstrate your management of teams, communication skills and the consistent delivery of business targets and KPI’s at both sites.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, you’d be responsible for the duty management team and ensure facilities are open, clean and safe, equipment working and staff friendly. Equally an important part of your role will be to maintain and develop the programme of activities at the Centre by working collaboratively with clubs, coaches, community groups to utilise all space.
You’ll engage more with existing customers acting on feedback and get out into the wider local community, with outreach activity, supporting or hosting events.
This position holds a minimum of a level 3 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent with the opportunity to progress to Level 4. There will be a requirement to sign up to a level 3 or 4 within 4 weeks of start date if these are not held.
Membership of CIMSPA is desirable.

Woughton Leisure Centre is the largest multi-sport site in Milton Keynes and has just benefited from a £1.5million investment with brand new studios, changing rooms and a Costa cafe area. Woughton Leisure Centre is a community hub which provides opportunities in a variety of sports for recreational and competitive sport up to national level, offering choice of classes, gym, swim, sports hall and outdoor pitch facilities.
