1) Clear expectations and goals – We have an experienced team of Managers who focus on developing their teams through constant feedback and clear communication. We have a 1 month check-in chat, followed by a 3 month review and then an annual performance appraisal. The review process is constant and our managers invest time in their teams throughout the year and not just at review times to ensure we are delivering a common goal.
2) Recognition and praise – At Aviator and The Swan we hold a quarterly Business Communication and Staff Recognition day which is all about celebrating the successes of our business.
We share information on how we are doing as a company which helps the teams feel a part of the business. On this day we treat our employees to a special lunch and treats from the managers. Our most recent Recognition day on 18th January was all about a healthy start to the year and involved smoothie bike races to name but one exciting activity!
We have monthly awards for our team members and encourage all to attend to celebrate our successes together
3) Communication – We take great pride in the way we communicate to our teams. Each department has a monthly team meeting and we have various daily briefings and meetings to ensure the correct information is passed to the relevant individuals.
4) Growth – We know that people become more motivated when they can develop their skills. Tailored Personal Development Plans ensure we can arrange the relevant training for your job role. There are opportunities to cross – train in another department and really grow your knowledge and skills which will motivate you in your role at Aviator.
