We are looking to appoint an individual to the role of Maintenance Operative who is not only committed to achieving and exceeding the expectations of our customers but also assisting with the continual development of Kirklees Active Leisure.

The main purpose of this role is to:

  • To undertake basic maintenance at KAL Facilities ensuring that they remain safe and in an operational condition with particular attention to:
    • Day to day building fabric maintenance
    • Day to day building fabric repairs
    • Decorating of various KAL facilities
    • Operation of Pool Plant Equipment (full training will be given)
    • Planned and Reactive facility maintenance
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the continual maintenance and improvement of our facilities

The successful candidate will join a small team and will be expected to cover for colleagues at other KAL facilities and as such the ability to travel across Kirklees and the ability to work in a team and individually are of the utmost importance in this key role.

We need to keep our customers safe and you will play a big part in that. You will carry out remedial works at a variety of facilities to ensure that our customers are able to use our facilities at all times.
