We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager for an upcoming conversion near Reading. The Grosvenor in Caversham is currently trading as an Ember Inns but is due to become part of our Premium Country Pubs portfolio, a collection of individual pubs situated in some of the most beautiful locations the UK's rural and urban landscapes. Doors will be open in March 2017 but we are keen to get the team in place as soon as we can to ensure you are set up for success. The ideal Assistant Manager will be knowledgeable about Food and Drink and will take real care to deliver informal yet  professional service and encourage the rest of the team to do the same.

Each of our pubs offers something different, from beautiful interiors of stag heads and cow hides to open log fires, contemporary dining rooms and vibrant terraces for al fresco dining when the summer months take a welcome hold on our great British weather.

Assistant Manager role:

* Deputising for the General Manager

* Lead the team in delivering an excellent guest experience

* Training and development of the team

What we look for in an Assistant Manager:

* At least 6 months experience in a supervisory role

* Hospitality, leisure or retail experience

* Ability to role model our values and brand standards

* Passionate about great service

* Enjoys and wants to be an active member of a team

* Great eye for detail

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work calmly under pressure

* Skilled in organising and planning

* Excellent verbal communication

* An understanding of what amazing guest service looks like
