The Marketing Executive devises campaigns and coordinates and delivers digital and social communications, customer service and event promotions on behalf of Alexandra Park and Palace (APP).

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and deliver social media communications in line with objectives set by the Head of Marketing in order to promote APP events - 25% 
  2. Deliver online marketing activity, produce and maintain accurate and up to date web content on owned and 3rd party sites to reach existing and new audiences - 25%
  3. Liaise with APP clients to determine in-house marketing support requirements to ensure both the client and APP achieve the best possible results - 15%
  4. Oversee the delivery of event day marketing with support from the Customer Service Assistant - 15%
  5. Liaise with House Management team to effectively manage on-site branding adhering to brand guidelines - 10%
  6. Assist with the delivery of the annual communications plan in order to generate positive coverage meeting department KPIs - 5%
  7. Provide general administrative support contributing to the efficiency of the department - 5 %

Person specification


  • 3 years' experience within a similar marketing role
  • An up to date working knowledge of social media channels and how to use these for business purposes
  • Excellent copy writing ability including editing and proofing
  • Ability to develop good working relationships across all stakeholder groups
  • Good organisation skills
  • Experience of creating, delivering and managing marketing campaigns
  • A thorough understanding of marketing and communications practices and principles
  • Available to work some unsocial hours including bank holidays, weekends and evenings


  • CIM qualification or equivalent
  • Analytic and numerical skills including the ability to work with statistical information
  • Experience of working in a high profile venue
  • Experience of negotiating with suppliers
  • An understanding of marketing strategy and planning
  • Knowledge of print design and production
