My client is looking for a strong Sous Chef to help build up the team and push standards in their busy Hotel and restaurant close to Gloucester and Cheltenham. This stylish hotel has a busy restaurant and bar and caters for regular conferences and functions.
The ideal Sous Chef candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 and have previous experience in a Sous Chef role, along with patience and dedication. This is an ideal role for someone looking for a challenge, as often you will be catering for several conferences as well as the restaurant and bar, so the ability to keep calm under pressure and motivate your team is essential.
As Sous Chef you will be expected to manage the Kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and have a good financial knowledge of the business while delivering training and development to the brigade.
This is a live out position but is within walking distance to the nearest town and transport links so applicants do not need to be a driver. It would also suit anyone living in the Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester, Tewkesbury and Ross-On-Wye areas with their own transport.
Excellent Basic Salary upto £26,000
