Banqueting Porter – Immediate Start

If you are seeking immediate work in a prestigious events /banqueting environment in Central London, this could be the perfect opportunity. We are looking for a responsible and a self-motivated Banqueting Porter to help us ensure that special events, functions and meetings at our clubhouse in Central London are set up and run smoothly while ensuring that the back of the house areas including wash-up areas and kitchens are kept clean and tidy and to assist chefs to transport food to the satellite kitchens.

Here at our Pall Mall clubhouse in the heart of London, we’re passionate about pioneering ever higher standards of dining, accommodation and sporting facilities. As a Banqueting Porter, you’ll join a dedicated team focused on achieving and surpassing these standards.

The role will see you:

  • Preparing the banqueting rooms and maintaining back of house areas to exemplary standards.
  • Liaising with the chefs to ensure all catering items are ready.
  • Maintaining clean and workable kitchens and wash-up areas.
  • Monitoring and maintaining stocks of equipment and linen.
  • To ensure that storage areas are kept tidy and free of debris at all times.

The Person – To succeed, you’ll need to be able to work seamlessly with a range of other departments, so teamwork and conversing effectively in English are key. Ideally you will also have:

  • An understanding of room setups.
  • A basic food hygiene certificate.
