Chef de Partie - Contract Caterer

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £18,000 - £19,000 per annum

Great opportunity for a confident Chef De Partie, who is passionate about delivering fantastic cuisine and great customer service to join one of the UK's leading high end contract catering organisations within a prestigious visitor attraction.

My client is one of the UK's leading high end contract catering and hospitality specialists. They operate across a variety of sectors providing mostly catering, and hospitality services. Contract catering organisations are an outsourced solution adopted by any of the UK's largest companies that fall into a variety of different sectors including; Banking, Retail, Business & Industry, Healthcare, Education, Fine Dining & Events etc.

Role Responsibility:

You will be expected to deliver high quality fresh food, using the finest of ingredients and great service to a prestigious client.

As Chef De Partie you will:

  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals
  • Be responsible for all dishes that are prepared in the section
  • Be very knowledgeable about your speciality, as well as culinary functions in general
  • Be very organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment
  • Be able to give orders within your section
  • Reliably carry out orders handed down to you by the Sous Chef and Head Chef
  • Working with the Head Chef and the kitchen team to maintain high standards in the quality of food both as to its preparation and its presentation
  • Working in all areas of the kitchen depending on the daily needs of Head Chef preparation of a whole range of food
  • To observe all Company Food Hygiene and Health and Safety policy
  • To be aware of current food trends with regard to presentation and style and help with new menu ideas and menu design

As Chef De Partie you must have:

  • Contract Catering experience
  • NVQ Level 1/2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • The skills to produce great food
  • Self motivated and the ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • A can do attitude
  • Communicating effectively at all levels
  • Impeccable standards around quality, service and presentation
  • Able to demonstrate substantial experience in catering
  • Planning and organising effectively
  • Focussed on excellent detail and standards
  • The ability to demonstrate a hands on approach to your work
  • Demonstrating excellent customer care skills
  • Positive, articulate and polished, and knows how to professionally interact with clients within their environment
  • Expert at adapting style and behaviour to meet the needs of the situation
