Role: HR Officer

Locations: Central London

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Our client is looking for a HR Officer to join their business and become an integrated part of their team. This is an opportunity to provide HR generalist support across multiple sites, including all areas of ER, Maternity & Paternity, and performance management including advising managers on how they should deal with disciplinary and grievance issues ensuring best HR policies and practices are followed.

The role:

  • To be the first point of contact for all HR queries

  • Work closely with the Head of HR to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice

  • Provide an advisory service to Manager’s and Heads of Department ensuring that they are fully aware of their role in regards to employee’s rights and entitlements

  • Manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries and manage expectations

  • Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements, tracking progress. 

  • Provide HR support to the business on grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings

  • Research and investigate ER law and general HR information to enable managers to make decisions.

  • To be the first point of contact for all Maternity, Paternity, adoption, parental leave processes & queries

The person:

  • Proven experience within similar role within the retail / hospitality / leisure industry

  • Generalist HR experience

  • CIPD Qualification or similar is preferred although not essential
