My clients are currently looking for an experience general manager to run their large leisure offering in the St Albans area. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Leisure Manager/ Golf Manager or Tennis Club/Racquets Manager to take on a large dynamic facility.

As an experienced Manager you will be in charge of managing a large leisure offering, comprising of an 18 hole golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a large multi-functional fitness suite, a functional strength and conditioning gym and also play host to an up and coming Judo club on a weekly basis. Managing a management team comprising of an Operations Manager, Sales and Events Manager, Fitness Manager, Facilities Manager and a sales consultant, along with managing a team of outsourced tennis coaches and personal trainers. The gym boasts over 1400 members, and you will be tasked with working with the sales team to expand the member base, using outreach and marketing along with working with local corporates to utilise the huge space available to members.

Ideally you will come from a Tennis/Racquets or Golf background along with extensive experience in leisure management. At a very minimum you will have a demonstrable interest in Tennis or Golf, as you will be heavily involved in ensuring the golf and tennis facilities are immaculate for members, whilst ensuring the smooth running of the operations across the centre. Experience of managing a leisure facility with a large membership, ideally that you have grown from a small number would be beneficial, but the desire to further your career in leisure with golf and racquets is essential.

As the General Manager you will be tasked with inspiring your varied team to deliver 5* customer service, and maintaining the highest of operating standards for your members. You will be tasked with inspiring your team to work on customer satisfaction, and ensuring retention rates are met whilst also ensuring new member targets are hit each month.
