Catering Manager – Commercial B&I & Hospitality Contract Catering – Staines - £32,000 plus PRB

The Role –

We are looking for a CRAFT trained Catering Manager who wants to be part of an exciting contract. Not only is the international hub for this client, it is also the centre of excellence for the caterer you will be working for. You will be providing a 5* star hospitality and retail offer to VIP clientele whilst training and developing all new members of this contract caterer. You will be comfortable in high end hospitality and be able to be commercial in your approach of upselling the offer and also comfortable with quotes, invoices and administration.

What are we looking for....?

This role would suit a very capable strong Chef Manager looking for their first step in to Catering Management, we do require you to be craft trained as you will need to be hands on from time to time and also understand what excellent looks like. There is a strong retail offer on-site but the main focus is on the hospitality. This contract means you cater for the core client but also for external clients. The focus is on hospitality and we are looking for a manager who is extremely organised, can deliver a 5* service, a fantastic eye for detail, provide quotes and have the character to upsell to the clients and try and get more out of each booking. You will have a commercial approach and always strive for more. You will also thrive from developing new team members whilst having a strong front of house presence.


  • Proactive management of catering team.

  • Craft trained is essential – you will be expected to get your hands in the flour and it’s necessary you can deliver excellent food as well as leadership.

  • Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence.

  • Accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.

  • Responsible for innovative menu planning, and design of food service within specified budgets ensuring high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control.

  • Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.

  • Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues.

  • Experience in commercial hospitality would be advantageous.
