Chef de Partie - Modern British Cuisine
A Chef de Partie is required for our clients fantastic professional kitchen using the very best seasonal produce. Working directly with farmers/suppliers to secure the best produce available, the Chef de Partie will assist the Head and Sous Chef to run the kitchen and smooth service. A full kitchen brigade of 8 Chefs cooking for 120 covers + per service. As Chef de Partie you will be working under direction of the Sous and Head Chef, with the support of a small well respected group and team.
Chef de Parties are regularly given the training and opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, such as P&L. There maybe, occasionally an opportunity to assist leading the daily meeting and tasting with Front of House. As a Chef de Partie it is essential that you are a strong believer in passing on knowledge, feel comfortable leading Demi Chef De Parties and Commis Chefs on different sections of the kitchen to build on existing skills. Basic computer skills an advantage but not essential must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills in English.
Working 7 shifts over 5 days
Overseeing all sections in the kitchen and helping where needed
Running a section cooking, simple seasonal food from high quality ingredients
Following basic spec sheets and Head Chefs direction on daily changing specials
Designing own dishes to be included on the daily specials menu
Training Commis Chefs & Demi Chefs
Keeping the kitchen well stocked and Mis en place organised
