Aim of the Reception Supervisor role:
To assist in the day-to-day running of Reception and to supervise reception in the absence of the Reception Manager.
Responsibilities of the Reception Supervisor
- Confidently assist in the smooth running of the department, including rota management and staff training.
- Ensure the efficient organization of Reception in line with established procedures and standards.
- Foster good relationships with colleagues, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility to solve problems and answer queries.
- Collaborate respectfully and courteously with all other departments.
- Ensure the well-being, satisfaction, and comfort of all guests, providing a highly personalized style of service.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of all hotel departments.
- Confidently operate all Front Office equipment, including Opera, Resdiary, Excel, Word, and Email.
- Cover reservation tasks as needed, understanding the importance of teamwork and flexibility.
- Efficiently handle restaurant reservations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, including availability, prices, and restrictions.
- Record and follow up on comments of appreciation, suggestions, and maintenance points with integrity.
